7월 22일 Pulled Pork Sandwiches5lb. pork shoulder roast (also called Boston roast)
Emeril's Original Essence
Dried oregano
Garlic Salt
Pepper (I used a hot 6 pepper blend)
1 - 2 bottles of your favorite barbecue sauce
6 sandwich buns
Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Coat roast liberally with spices all around. Line a baking pan with non-stick foil (this is the best stuff - it should be on my Favorite Things list). Cover the pan with foil, sealing the edges. Bake for SIX hours.
Let the roast sit until it is cool enough to handle. Remove the strings holding the roast together. Using two forks (or your fingers) pull the pork apart. It should shred easily. Discard any fatty pieces. Put pork in a large mircowavable bowl. Toss liberally with barbecue sauce. Refridgerate until ready to serve.
Heat meat mixture in microwave. Pile on a bun and enjoy! Serve with a big pickle and some potato chips.
Note: The "real" directions say to uncover for the last two hours but when I did that the mean got too crispy on the outside and was unusable for sandwiches.
